The Shearing ShedFAQs
The questions we get asked most about hosting in The Shearing Shed at The Orchard.
Is The Shearing Shed good for kids?
It is the family pick inside the Woolshed, with the best view over the playground so parents can keep an eye on things from the table.
How long can we book the space for?
Hire length is set with your quote and worked around your run sheet. Tell us your start and finish times in the enquiry and the events team will confirm what is possible.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
No. The Orchard is fully licensed, so no outside alcohol can be brought onto the premises. Licensed bar service is available in every space and is added to your quote when you tick it on the enquiry form.
Can we bring our own food or a cake?
Cakes are welcome. Other outside food is not permitted; all catering comes from Freddy's and the Food Community kitchens on site, with halal, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options in every package.
Is there parking?
Yes, free on-site parking, and the whole precinct is wheelchair accessible.
How quickly will I hear back?
Within 1 business day. Your venue hire and catering are quoted together so you see one number.
