Do you have function rooms for hire in Penrith?
Yes. The Orchard has 12 function spaces on one riverside site at 50 Tench Ave, Jamisontown: 6 venues and 6 rooms within them, from The VIP Suite for 8 guests to The Pavilion for 180 seated or 200 standing. Every space is on the Hire a Space page with capacities, setting and photos.
Is there a venue hire fee?
Venue hire and catering are quoted together as one number for your date, guest count and menu, so you compare the total rather than a room fee. Send the enquiry form and the events team replies within 1 business day. There is no deposit to enquire.
Can we hire a hall for a large party or presentation night?
Yes. The John Farragher Woolshed and the Pavilion are the two halls, each seating 180 and taking up to 200 standing. Both have a licensed bar, staging space and room for a dance floor, and both are used for presentation nights, galas, school formals and weddings.
Can we hire the whole venue exclusively?
Yes, for large events the precinct can be booked exclusively. Tell the functions team your date and numbers through the enquiry form or on 1300 513 884 and they will confirm what is possible.
Can we bring our own food, drinks or a cake?
The Orchard is fully licensed, so no outside alcohol can be brought onto the premises. Outside food is not permitted either; all catering comes from the kitchens on site, with halal, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options in every package. Cakes are welcome.
Is parking free, and is the venue accessible?
Yes. Parking inside the precinct is free, with accessible spaces, and overflow parking on Tench Avenue. The precinct is wheelchair accessible.
Can children come to a function?
Yes. The playground and farmyard sit beside the function spaces, kids' menus and party packages are available, and the Kids Birthday Party page covers parties built around the playground.
